Looking after your mental health
Hello my lovely,
How are you?
No really, how are you? Are you physically well? What about your mental health? We sometimes neglect that and we shouldn't. We need to take care of our mental health. It is as important as looking after our physical health. There are lots of different things we can do.
We can talk to our friends and family when we are feeling sad or low.
We can journal. Writing down our thoughts and feelings can help us make sense of them.
We can rest.
We can exercise.
We can go out into nature and appreciate the world around us.
I used to bottle up my thoughts and feelings and believed that was the best thing I could do. I was wrong. It all exploded one day and I was a wreck of emotions and negative thoughts for weeks and months afterwards. The best thing we can do is be open and honest about how we are feeling.
It really does help.
